Where wooden coffee stirrers are used
Cafés use wooden coffee stirrers at the milk and sugar counter. Caterers use them for hot drinks at events. Tea service uses the same sticks.
Food-service distributors supply them to all of these. The same wooden sticks also work as sample sticks, for tasting and sampling. Tell us your use in the quote request and we suggest the length.
Wooden coffee stirrers in two lengths
11 cm
The shorter stirrer, for small cups and for sampling.
14 cm
The longer stirrer, for standard cups.
Choosing 11 cm or 14 cm
Match the length to the cup. A 14 cm stirrer reaches the bottom of a standard cup. An 11 cm stirrer suits small cups and sampling, where a long stick would be in the way.
Both lengths are 1.3 mm thick. If you serve more than one cup size, you can order both.
Wooden stirrers and the plastic ban in Canada
In Canada, the Single-use Plastics Prohibition Regulations prohibit plastic stir sticks. Manufacture and import have been prohibited since 20 December 2022, and sale since 20 December 2023 (see the Canada.ca technical guidelines).

Packing and supply
Stirrers are packed 500 to a box and 24 boxes to a carton, which makes 12,000 per carton. Our manufacturing partner has made wooden stirrers since 2019 and produces about 8,000 cartons a month.
